Our unique and advanced investment castings allow us to serve the needs of various industries. We aim to provide high-quality products in speed time and make metal casts using advanced investment casting methods.
Investment casting or lost wax casting is a fairly advanced process utilized to make precision metal parts by using a wide range and grade of standard and superalloy materials.
The final products made through the investment casting process are the perfect remake of the sample metal part that needs to be replicated.
A well-defined investment casting procedure is followed to get the high-quality metal parts.

A brief outline of the investment casting process

In the investment casting process, first, a wax model is prepared. This wax model or pattern contains all the intricate details of the metal part and looks like its replica.
After the wax pattern is prepared, the gating is done to form an assembly of wax patterns joined with the gates, this creates an inlet for metals to flow later into the cavity.
These wax molds are then coated with ceramic and stucco to get a shell of the desired thickness. The required thickness of the shell depends on the metal part dimensions that are to be made with the help of this process.
The process of shell coating is repeated multiple times until the desired thickness is attained. After this, the shell is allowed to cool down and harden. Then later in the process of wax melting is conducted to remove the wax mold from the shell and make space for the melted metal to be poured in it.
After the removal of wax happens the shell is checked and repaired for any existing cracks in it. The cracks are then filled with thick paste and the shells are preheated.
Preheating of the shells is done to prepare them for the melted metal pouring process. The metal alloy is then heated to reach the melted state and then it is poured in the shell cavity with the help of a gates channel.
The whole metal cast-shell assembly is then allowed to cool down and the metal to reach the solid state again.
After this, the outer shell part is blasted and removed from the rough metal casts. These metal casts now go through the process of finishing and polishing. In the final steps, the spurs and gates originating from the rough metal casts are cut off and removed.
The metal surface is then smoothened to prepare that desired final product. The metal cast made through the process of investment casting is the replica of the initial sample metal part.
Though the process of investment casting is conducted at many places it is important to ensure that the manufacturing company uses advanced technology and high-grade alloys while following all the standards of the investment casting process.

What is Investment Casting and How does it work?

What is Investment Casting and How does it work? I nvestment casting  is a widely used industrial process for remaking metal parts. There are several casting procedures available and investment casting is one among the many of these casting processes. There are a lot of diverse factors that are responsible for determining which casting process will be deemed fit for the manufacturing of a specific metal part. Some of these diverse factors are – design requirements, feasibility, and cost to manufacture are the important ones that are considered beforehand in determining the type of casting process that will work best. If the process to be is used is investment casting, then it will be better to know the details of this process. Let’s get to understand the process of investment casting and how does it work? In this brief write up first the process of investment casting is explained and then how does it work? So, let’s get started with the first question that’s what is investment cas...

Advantages and Disadvantages of Investment Casting

Before we dive deeper and get to know the advantages and disadvantages of the investment casting, let’s revive a bit of our understanding of the process of investment casting. Investment casting is a widely and commonly used practice to produce and remake identical metal parts with complete precision by using a wax pattern and then pouring hot metal in liquid form into the wax pattern. Here’s a brief description of the investment casting process followed by a brief mention of the advantages and disadvantages of this process. Investment Casting Method The process of investment casting uses expendable wax patterns. For the process of investment casting, first and foremost, wax patterns are prepared. These wax patterns are mostly prepared by injection molding technology. In the cavity, that’s similar to the desired cast part. Then wax patterns are attached to a gating system (a set of channels) through which molten metal will flow and fill the mold cavity. Shell building is the next stag...
